developers. To do this the focus has to change from architecting
interesting technology and more about creating a better development
environment.
To succeed Linux has to attract developers. It has to be both easier, and more fun to create great applications on the Linux platform. A large effort has been placed on projects such as WINE to migrate applications. This is a critical bootstrapping step but it doesn't migrate mindshare. You have to migrate both the mindshare and the actual developers. |
