Today is a new chapter in Raizlabs history. Raizlabs has been a one person shop since I started working for myself in 2001. Tomorrow it's going to be different. For the first time I won't be the only one who show's up for work at my company. I've decided to hire a contractor, who I hope will later become my first fulltime employee.
It's a strange transition. I've always wanted to grow Raizlabs as a company but at the same time I think I'll miss some of the freedom of being accountable to only myself. Having someone work for me is a change in responsibility. It's a big leap, and with it comes a new face, a new pattern and a new way for me to work. I hope this change helps fullfill the vision of Raizlabs to make the software of the world a little easier to use.
